Mizrahi, Shmuel


Son of Yosef and Victoria. He was born in 1938 in Turkey and immigrated to Israel in 1949. He was drafted into the IDF in November 1956. After completing his regular service, he went to reserve duty from time to time. On the 27th of Tammuz, 5727 (July 23, 1968), he fell in the line of duty, and he was active reserve duty in the Jordan Valley near the Sha’ar Hagolan, with the commando unit on which he was traveling. Shmuel was a dedicated and loyal soldier for his position and his comrades, performed the tasks assigned to him with courage and liked his commanders and his comrades. He left a wife and a child. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa
