Mizrahi, Shalom


Shalom, son of Salha and Yosef Mizrahi, was born on May 1, 1930, in Tel Aviv. Shalom graduated from elementary school in his hometown, studied the profession of plastering and worked as a plasterer. At the outbreak of the War of Independence Shalom joined the army and was assigned to the Givati ​​Brigade. On the night of July 17-18, an attempt to break through the Negev was carried out by his brigade, but they were forced to withdraw from the village of Beit Afa. Shalom was was killed in this battle on the 11th of Tamuz, July 18, 1948 and on the 16th of Shevat, he was laid to rest in the military cemetery of Nahalat Yitzchak.
