Mizrahi, Rachamim
Born in 1900 in Iran, he immigrated to Israel with his family in 1908. Rahamim married a wife and the couple had twelve sons and daughters During the War of Independence, Rahamim was among the defenders of the Jewish Quarter in the Old City and as a member On May 27, 1948, when he went out to fetch food and water for the elderly, he was hit by a shell fired by the Arab Legion on the Jewish Quarter and fell in the line of duty.Rachamim was brought to rest – They are buried in a mass grave in the cemetery on the Mount of Olives.
