Mizrahi, Moshe-Meir
Son of a Nezira and Yitzchak-Meir was born in 1931 in the Old City of Tiberias. After completing elementary school at the age of 14, he spent two years in agricultural training in Poriah, where he was very fond of agricultural work and said: “Work is our life and the earth is our soul.” He was a member of the Haganah during the War of Independence, and was trained during the day and guarded at night, and was trained in Ein Gev as a machine gunner and participated in the first attempt to conquer Tzemach. After the departure of the British, he successfully participated in the conquest of Tzemach, Nasser a-Din, and Tiberias During the Syrian invasion of the Jordan Valley, at his position in Beit Ariye near Tzemach, he was among the first to send the first shells of the Israeli artillery corps, which was born in the midst of the fighting two hours before the Syrian withdrawal from the Jordan Valley, Was hit by an enemy shell and fell on the 11th of Iyar 5708 (May 20, 1948.) He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Tiberias.
