Mizrahi, Eliyahu
Eliyahu, son of Becora and Yehuda Mizrahi, was born in 1933 in Jerusalem. He volunteered in the army, even before his turn to enlist, as part of the Jerusalem Brigade. Eliyahu was sent to be part of the defense team in Kfar Etzion, a village that was beseiged. In May 1948, local Arabs carried out a heavy attack on the area. The next day, Kfar Etzion fell to the enemy. Eliyahu fell in this battle. It was the 4th of Iyar (13.5.1948). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
