Mizrahi, Eliahu (‘Eli’)


Son of Tzadok and Yaffa. He was born on November 6, 1957 in the son of Shemen Youth Village. He studied at the Katznelson School in Holon and completed his studies in the field of automotive mechanics at the Ort-Ford vocational high school in Tel Aviv, where he acquired his high-school mechanics in high school As a youth, he joined the Mahanei Ha’olim youth movement in Jerusalem and later joined the Tidhar group on Kibbutz Eyal in the framework of his military service in the Nahal Brigade. He was a sports fan and excelled in the soccer game. His mother says: “He had a good Lev, he loved the other and never harmed the weak, he always gave help to the person who failed, and his friends loved him very much.” His girlfriend, a year, relates: “Eli was more to me than my classmate, a close friend who sometimes seemed to be his best friend and everyone seemed to be his good friend, On issues of friendship, love and all. ” And his girlfriend, Anat, adds: “Although he was shy and timid, we knew many things about him, and he was humble and humble, and he said that about many people. There was some magic in him, something under that wonderful smile, a charm that made him like us – the girls – we loved him! ” Eli was drafted into the IDF in January 1976 and volunteered to serve in the Nahal Brigade. After basic training he joined the Tidhar group on Kibbutz Eyal. Eli loved his friends in the nucleus and the pleasant atmosphere, and during his vacations he would tell a lot about his experiences. On the 17th of Elul 5736 (12.9.1976) he fell to me while he was doing his job in the Jordan Valley. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Holon. Survived by his parents and sister. His family published a pamphlet in his memory, including memoirs of his friends from childhood, his friends in the nucleus and relatives of his family. Yes, the family commemorated the memorial plaque placed in the Magen David synagogue in Holon.
