Mizrahi, A.
Born in Jerusalem. During the First World War, after the armies of Allenby conquered southern Israel and Jerusalem from the Turks, Mizrahi volunteered for the Jewish Legion of Palestine – the 40th Battalion of the King’s Rifles, which was organized in Palestine within the framework of the British Army. The aim of the volunteers was to help liberate the country from the Turks. On the 19th of Tevet 1919 (19.12.1918), he died while performing his duties and was laid to rest at the British military cemetery in Ramla.
