Mizrachi, Moshe (Morris)
Son of Rachamim and Kichla. He was born on the 11th of Tishrei, October 10, 1943 in Damascus, the capital of Syria. On his tenth birthday, the family immigrated to Israel. He was active in sports, and was a member of Hapoel. He belonged to Gadna-Yam. After his enlistment in the IDF in May 1961, he was assigned to the Navy. At the end of his regular service, he continued to serve in the Israel Defense Forces, and was dedicated to his role as a trustee. He fell in the line of duty on the 18th of Tishrei, October 21, 1967. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. The commander of the navy noted, in a letter of condolence to his parents, that Moshe “was one of their finest fighters, dedicated and outstanding.”
