Mizrachi, Moshe


Son of Daughter of Sheva and Rachamim Was born on 28.5.1930 in Jerusalem. In 1944 he completed his studies at the “Doresh Zion” elementary school in Jerusalem. He did his work with responsibility and loyalty. In mid-January 1948 he was sent to a training camp in Neve Sha’anan in Jerusalem and after two weeks of training, he was sent to the Kastel sector. Where he participated in three military operations of Company C in the Moriah Battalion. Moshe was killed in the fourth operation he took part in. He set out with his platoon to ambush enemy traffic on the Jerusalem-Ramallah road. On its way to Atarot, the platoon was attacked by an Arab mob, surrounded and most of its members were killed. This battle fell on the 23rd of Adar I 5708 (March 4, 1948). He was buried in Sanhedria in Jerusalem. On the 5th of Elul 5711 (6.9.1951), he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
