Shlomo (Shlomi), son of Levanah and Joseph, was born in 1950 in Cairo, Egypt, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1957. Solomon was drafted into the IDF in mid-May 1968, he volunteered at “Golani” commandos. After completing basic training, he took a driver’s course, a course for half-track drivers and a parachuting course, and he was a good soldier, responsible and dedicated to his job, proud of his unit and loved by his commanders.For the rest of his army service, he tried not to worry his parents, He was sent to reserve duty in the Armored Corps and was called for periods of active reserve duty, and after joining the kibbutz he joined Kibbutz Yad Hannah. They were strangers to him, quickly acclimated there and liked all the members of the farm He was patient and patient with his fellow man, and he did not hold a grudge against anyone, and he was kind enough to lend a helping hand, even if it was uncomfortable. He was always pleasant, honest, honest, and conversational, never hesitating to say what was in his Lev, even if it was difficult and oppressive, honest and serious, serious in his approach to life, cold-tempered and examining everything with deep thought. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, Shlomo was drafted and sent with his unit to the front in Sinai, where he participated in the difficult battles against the Egyptians. On October 19, 1973, he was hit by enemy fire and was killed on a “spider” axis in the southern sector, while he was driving the armored personnel carrier to evacuate the wounded. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Yad Hannah. Survived by a father, four brothers and a sister. After his fall, he was promoted to sergeant.
