Mizrachi (Gabbai), Aharon

Son of Miriam and Moshe, Aharon was born on the 2nd of Elul, September 7, 1929 in Jerusalem. Aharon together with a few friends from his neighborhood founded a group of “Young Guard”. He was an excellent guide and educated the youth in a collective spirit. After several years, Aaron joined the Lehi organization, underwent various weapons courses, demonstrated his ability in daring activities, and was also involved in training. In the outbreak of the War of Independence, he and the Lehi members joined the ranks of the IDF. Aaron fell on the 9 Elul, September 13, 1948 at the Lod airport and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Nahalat Yitzhak.
