Mizrachi-Ben-Yakar, Yosef (Zuzu)


Son of Yaffa and Yakar, was born in 1925 in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. At first he studied in the community school, then studied sewing and worked in it. Joseph immigrated to Israel in 1941, continued to work in his profession and supported his widowed mother and younger siblings. In 1947, he volunteered for the ranks of the Irgun underground and took part in the battle against the Arabs in the battle for the conquest of Jaffa, then went with his unit to attack Ramle, where he fell in combat on the day of the 2nd of Nissan 5708 (1948). Buried In a mass grave in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery.
