Mizrachi, Avraham


Son of Rachel and Chaim, was born on February 8, 1964 in Kfar Saba. As a child, his family moved to Hod Hasharon, where Avraham completed his elementary studies at the Neve Ne’eman religious public school. He continued to study at a carpentry vocational school. Before joining the IDF, he worked as a carpenter in factories, and in March 1982 he joined the IDF. After undergoing basic training, he was sent to a wireless course, where he served in the army. He was promoted to the rank of corporal and sent with his unit to operational employment in Lebanon, and on 27.7.1984 he was in the army and accompanied a convoy of soldiers on a military vehicle that took off for a weekend vacation in Israel. Avraham was 20 years old when he fell, and was laid to rest in the military section of the Hod Hasharon cemetery, leaving behind his parents, three sisters and a brother, who was immortalized on a memorial plaque at the Hod Hasharon school where he studied
