Mizrachi (Avraham), Shmuel
Shmuel, son of Rachel and Rahamim, was born in Jerusalem on 26 November 1946. He completed his elementary studies at the “Doresh Zion” school in Jerusalem, and his friends and family grew up in difficult conditions in terms of living and standard of living But Shmulik, who was already in elementary school, recognized the severity of the economic situation at home and as a child went out to work every day after school and gave his salary to his mother, He refused to continue to study, and decided to acquire a profession in practical work so that he could support his family in the future, so that he could help Hu During his years in the army, Shmulik helped his parents financially, was very attached to his family, loved his parents and siblings, and was involved in family life and in the life of everyone. He was always willing to help with his day-to-day work at home, and especially he loved to help his brother, who had always been a friend of Shmulik, a big brother and a counselor. In the movement and in other circles, too, he had many friends who loved him, were loyal to him and appreciated his friendship and loyalty. He spent many hours with his friends and was very attached to them. Shmuel was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early November 1964 and was assigned to the infantry brigade, where he served in the IDF’s Golani Brigade and served in its artillery unit for about two years, after completing his regular service. After returning to civilian life, he began to work in the profession he had studied – the frames, and he also returned to a number of hobbies he had had in his youth, first of all his occupation of animals: he raised a large dog and cultivated pigeons, Radio and recorders and re-assembled them, and did so with great expertise When he was about twenty-three years old, Shmulik married his girlfriend and the couple moved into a two-room apartment, and from the day he married, Shmulik began to build his future and did not shy away from his obligations and commitments to meet his family’s needs and improve her living conditions. The couple had two children – Amit and Yifat – Shmulik loved his family and was very devoted to them – he loved his children, was patient with them, and always tried to be close to them. In order to advance his work and improve his status, Shmulik left the factory where he worked, and when he was about twenty-five, he opened a workshop for frames, in partnership with his younger brother. As an independent, he performed many works for shops and private homes. He was a wanted locksmith, both for his expertise and for his fair treatment of all. His economic situation improved greatly, and it seemed that he had succeeded in establishing his future and his family’s future. In the Yom Kippur War, Shmulik took part in the battles against the Syrians on the Golan Heights. On October 10, 1973, Shmulik was injured in an air strike in the Ramat Magshimim area. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl. He left behind a wife and two children, parents, brothers and sisters
