Mizrachi, Aharon (Henry)


Born in Paris, France on February 21, 1931, he grew up in Strasbourg. WhenAharon heard of the War of Independence in Israel, he left his brother and immigrated to Israel on June 11, 1948 as a member of Machal (Overseas Volunteers). Aharon served in the Givati ​​Brigade and in its ranks fought during the “Yoav” operation to break through the Negev. He fell on the 14th of Tishrei, 5709 (October 17, 1948) in an attack on the Egyptian “node” system near Negba when he was hit in the thigh and chest. Aharon was laid to rest at the Warburg military cemetery.
