Misk, Michael-Israel
Son of-David-Yitzhak and Roza. He was born on the 15th of Sivan 5702 (25.5.1942) in the city of Porto-Allegro in Brazil. Immigrated to Israel in 1955. He studied at the elementary school in Brur-Hail and was appalled at the local “Maanit” youth group. He had a quick grasp. He knew how to work in all areas, both in society and in the agriculture, and was responsible for every area in which he operated. He was active in the youth company. He began to engage in pantomime and discovered talent, in which, in his cheerfulness, he knew how to be Simcha at economic events. His area of activity was in sheep and he showed great love to the sheep, which he called everyone. He was kind and had a good smile – and he was well liked. He was devoted to his parents and always took care of them and tried to hear about them and their situation. Even his older brothers cared for his enormous love for them. In August 1960 he was drafted into the IDF and spent one year in Ein-Gev in the Nahal Brigade. On the 17th of Adar I 5722 (February 19, 1962) he fell in the line of duty and was put to rest at the Civil Cemetery in Brur-Hail. The “Maanit” youth group published a pamphlet entitled “In Memory of Them”, dedicated to him and his friend (Yitzhak-Yehuda Gliko), whose graduates were both named. It was also mentioned in a booklet that Kibbutz Brur-Chayil issued on the eve of Memorial Day 5728 (in memory of them) – in memory of five kibbutz members who fell.
