Mishael, Ophir


Son of Rachel and Giora, brother to Itamar and Sarit. He was born on the 28th of Tammuz 5742 (28.6.1982) at the Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva, where he moved to Mitzpeh Ramon, where Ofira was named after Ofira, who was evacuated from the Sinai at the age of three. Ophir began his studies at the State Elementary School B. Ophir was a naughty and hyperactive child, and therefore the kindergarten teachers found it difficult to get along with him, but his beauty impressed him, and he was called Ashkenazi because of his curly blond hair. With his friends in the neighborhood, Ophir began his high school studies at the Rene Kasan School and was very popular with his classmates, especially the boys But Ophir submitted a summary project on the structure of brake CABS, completed his studies and held a diploma in the field of car mechanics. Prior to joining the army, Ophir began his training in order to improve his physical fitness, as he wanted to serve in my army .In November 2000, Ophir was drafted into the IDF, underwent basic training and was assigned to a combat unit and was assigned to the infantry battalion 51. Ophir participated in Operation Defensive Shield and in Nablus, And in Jenin. At the end of his employment he went with the battalion to the Har Dov post. On August 29, 2002, Ophir was critically wounded by a 120-mm mortar shell fired by Hizbullah on the Gladiola outpost, and Ophir was rushed by helicopter to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. After a four-day struggle for his life, Ofir died on September 1, 2002, at the age of twenty. Ophir was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by his parents, brother and sister. After his fall, Ophir was promoted to the rank of St.-Sgt. Ort Beit El High School, where he studied kra in the name of Ophir,
