Mirilashvili, Shotah
Son of Rachel and Ben-Zion. He was born on February 16, 1947 in the city of Kolasi in Georgia (former Soviet Union). He immigrated to Israel with his family in 1975. His parents settled in Ashdod, and he, his wife and two children lived in Kiryat Ata, and he was drafted into the IDF in early 1976. After completing basic training, he was transferred to reserve duty, first in the Artillery Corps, When the Peace for Galilee war broke out, Shotah appeared in his unit even before a draft order arrived. On June 10, 1982, he was killed in a battle in Lebanon during Operation Peace for the Galilee and brought to rest in the military cemetery in Ashdod. He left a wife and two sons, a brother and three sisters.
