Mir, Shoshana (“Shoshka”)

Daughter of Joseph and Miriam. She was born on December 3, 1936 in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Immigrated to Israel in 1947. She completed her studies at the Ruhama Elementary School in Jerusalem, and then continued her studies at the Kanot Agricultural High School in Gedera. She excelled in ballet dancing. She was drafted into the IDF in September 1955. She fell in the course of her duties on 23 Adar Alef 5727 (February 24, 1957) and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
