Son of Leah and Jacob. Born on August 1, 1973 in Kfar Saba, a third child of a family of three, Yoav, a child of a family decision, was born after many difficulties, a charming baby with an angelic smile, lively, clever “Yoav” grew up in Kfar Sava where he attended Son of-Gurion Elementary School, junior high school and high school in Katznelson High School Chemistry and computers, Yoav excelled in computer and mathematics, and he was particularly interested in the subject, and he had a “realistic” head, enough to attend classes or read a book reading in order to be ready for the exam. The first years of adulthood were years of rebellion, and he was not prepared to take everything for granted, and this was reflected in his original personal ideas. Yoav was very determined in his opinions, was politically motivated, hated violence and had a very strong desire for personal and social justice, and he had an amazing knowledge of the subject. His period of youth ranged from computer games to interest in entertainment with friends and sports, such as basketball and running, reading books and hiking. He was also very interested in sports and had great knowledge in this field. His classmates talk about his love of sport and his computer skills. They also tell about a person who is very sensitive, quiet, serious, serene and introverted. Yoav was devoted to his parents, his sister, his brother and his niece, and in his wonderful way he helped at home when necessary. At the beginning of December 1991, Yoav was drafted into the IDF, where he completed two long courses in the Artillery Corps, completing the second course with great success and from there was sent to a special position in the Communications and Electronics Corps. Who was close to him, and his commanders, were pleased with him: On Wednesday, November 7, 1994, Yoav fell during his service, two weeks before his service, The end of his regular service and the transition to a permanent service. He was twenty-one years old when he fell. Survived by his parents, sister Efrat and brother Yaron. Yoav was laid to rest in the Kfar Saba military cemetery. In a letter of consolation to the family, the unit commander wrote: “Yoav came to the unit after he was prominent in the basic course, which he passed through the Signal Corps, and continued to stand out in his service in the unit, with responsibility, dedication and professionalism, Yoav was a very good soldier who knew how to show confidence to those around him. He was a member of the team in which he worked, and contributed to his colleagues from his experience and professionalism. ” His comrades in the unit published a booklet in his memory
