Ben Elizabeth and Nissim. My father was born on the 29th of Elul 5737 (12.9.1977). He grew up in Ashkelon, completed his studies at the local ORT high school and was certified as a computer technician. Avi served in the Israel Defense Forces from 1996 to 2000. He completed his service as a division sergeant in the Ordnance Corps and the Givati Brigade. Were impressed by him as a highly motivated and qualified person for a prison job. In August 2002, he began serving in the Prisons Service as a security guard in the Dekel prison, and my father was a serious and responsible prison guard, accepted by his friends and performed his work faithfully. In April 2004, his son, Shalev, was born On September 5, 2004, Avi began a course for non-commissioned officers in the Nir School. On Thursday, 4 November 2004, my father was appended to the Nachshon unit’s escort team, and the escort vehicle made its way from Nafha Prison to the Nahshon Unit, wounding seven of the occupants in a car accident. My father was twenty-seven years old when he fell, and he was laid to rest in the Ashkelon cemetery, leaving a wife and son, and my father was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant.
