Milstein, Nehemiah

Son of Moshe and Gizela. He was born on the 15th of Sivan 5706 (June 15, 1955) in Gedera. He spent his first three years studying at the Pines School. Afterward, he completed elementary school and high school at Kibbutz Mizra. When he was eight, Nehemiah moved to Kibbutz Mizra, where he grew up with the Perry family. Nehemiah was proud of his father in Gedera and connected to his family on the kibbutz. When he chose to work in the orchard industry, he invested all his energy in it, found great interest in it, and became an expert in the industry. Nehemiah was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of November 1973 and was assigned to the Armored Corps, and after his basic training he was appointed a driver of the ‘Magach’ tank. Nehemiah took a course in the course for the instructors of the year 1988. Nehemiah knew how to take an interest in everything he dealt with, quickly contacted the family of armored personnel carriers, and found great interest in the tank and its operations. We walked through the tank field. And what was to be expected had become certain. Nehemiah ruled all the details. Here comes the discovery of one of its most prominent features: the entry into depth, the curiosity to know more and more, the diligence. And Nehemiah was the kind of person who did their work quietly, with dedication and efficiency, while tying good relations with people. Was able to find his place in society and work. “On June 11, 1975, Nehemiah was injured in a training ground in the Sinai desert during a course for tank commanders. He fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Gedera. Kibbutz Mizra published a booklet in his memory.
