Michaelovich, Michoel
Michoel, son of Clara and Albert Michaelovich, was born in Latvia, then part of the Soviet Union, in 1983. The family immigrated to Israel in September 1990. When Michoel was seven years old, they settled in Tene, a settlement in the southern Hebron hills. On November 26, 2002, Michoel was drafted into the IDF. He served in infantry, completed regular service and continued to serve in the army. During the service he advanced to the rank of sergeant. Michoel married Gal. The couple lived in Moshav Menucha in the Lachish region and at the beginning of 2013 their son was born. Michoel fell in the line of duty on 4 Nissan, March 15, 2013. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva, leaving a wife, son, parents and sister, and was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant.
