Michaeloff, Shmuel
Shmuel, son of Miriam and Michael Michaeloff, was born in 1929 in Jerusalem. When he finished elementary school he began to work and was a book-binder. He paid his wages to his parents and thus helped support the family. He joined the Hanoar Haoved movement and was a member of the Haganah. Shmuel joined the defenders of the city during the first weeks of the War of Independence, when there was a severe shortage of people. He was immediately sent to battle, where he fell on the 28th of Adar II (8.4.1948). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Anavim.
