Metzger, Chaim

Son of Shlomo and Elsa. He was born on March 29, 1928 in the village of Münzenberg in Germany, where he immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1939 and went to the religious youth village where he studied and even went through various agricultural training courses, After the evacuation of the village he moved with his friends to Tel Aviv and after a while he settled in Sukar, but he soon left the kibbutz. He was already the husband of a wife when, in November 1950 he was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and later went on reserve service. On 4 Cheshvan, 29.10.1957, he fell in the line of duty and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa, leaving a wife and two daughters.
