Metterni, Pnina

Daughter of Sheva and Rivka, a family of farmers. She was born on March 3, 1938, in Kfar Hittin, where she completed her studies in the local school, where she had the qualities of loyalty and devotion to every job, so she continued with the family tradition and worked in agriculture, working in the orchard and in the vegetable garden. When she reached the army service in September 1956, she volunteered for a parachuting parachute, successfully passing the course, but only half of her service to the IDF. In Mershvan 1958 (8.11.1957), she fell in the line of duty and was brought to rest in the cemetery where she was born. The family and the moshav set up a library and study room in her name. Her memory was raised in Uri Milstein’s book, “The Wars of the Paratroopers.”
