Metodi, Amos (Risher)


Son of Aliza and Shalom. Born on 21 March 1956 in Tunis and immigrated to Israel with his parents before completing a year, the family settled in Be’er Sheva and Amos grew up and was educated in the city, where he studied at the Janusz Korczak Elementary School and continued his high school studies During one year of studies in mechanical courses at the Amal school, in the apprenticeship track. Amos was a pleasant, friendly, cheerful young man who was drafted into the army in February 1974 and assigned to serve in the Engineering Corps. In this capacity he served in the role of Pless and fulfilled his duties with devotion until the end of his regular service. He was released from the IDF in the winter of 1977 with the rank of Corporal. After his release from the IDF, he traveled extensively throughout the world, returning to work in an independent framework and helping to support the family, and in 1986 he married Tamar and the couple lived in Be’er Sheva. (12.2.1987), who was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva, and during the last months of her pregnancy, Raya laid down a wife and three sisters – Evelyn, Betty and Nurit – And his willingness to serve despite the advanced pregnancy of his wife, and the family commemorated him in a synagogue in Be’er Sheva.
