Merton, Aaron (Ernestine) (“Ari”)


Son of Yehuda (Leon) and Chaya. He was born on December 4, 1928 in Romania. Aharon graduated from the elementary school abroad. In Romania he was an active member of the Gordon youth organization until all the Jewish organizations were dispersed. In 1944 his parents and two brothers were killed in Auschwitz concentration camp. Aharon Tultel across labor camps in Germany until the end of the war. In 1964 he immigrated to Israel. At the end of April 1965 he was drafted into the IDF and participated in the Six-Day War, after which he was called to serve in the reserve duty, but during reserve service he fell ill and was hospitalized on July 12, 1971. He left a wife and two children. – They live in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
