Meoded, Shlomo


Son of Hannah and Shalom, was born on the 2nd of Kislev, November 14, 1931 and raised in Tel Aviv. On the night of April 22-23, 1948, a group of Golani Brigade soldiers came to conquer the town of Zemach, and Shlomo’s division broke into the town and took control of part of it. The platoon was cut off and the platoon remained isolated in the town. In the course of the battle the unit retreated in a battle with Arab forces that tried to surround it. Shlomo fell on 14 Nisan, April 23, 1948. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Degania Aleph.
