Son of Sarah and Ben-Zion, was born on 17.7.1926 in Afula, where he studied in elementary school and after completing his high school education he passed his London matriculation exams and had special talents in mathematics, The state gasoline and the income tax department, and recently worked as a construction worker in which he was particularly interested and asked to save money in order to travel to America to study as an engineer. “Meir was an active and devoted member of the Haganah from his youth, and immediately after the outbreak of the War of Independence, After completing the course, he was assigned to a Givati ​​Brigade unit and participated in all battles of the battalion, from the vicinity of Tel Aviv, Keren Hayemet, through the battles of Operation Nachshon, the battles for the purification of the south, He refused to accept any rank of command in the army, faced many dangers and his friends would say that “bullets do not hurt him,” and he liked to go out with him because of the security feeling around him. At the end of December 1948, the brigade was transferred to the central front where he was killed by a sniper shot in the vicinity of Ramat Hakovesh on 9 January 1949. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Netanya.
