Menashe, Uri

Son of Esther and Na’im was born on August 20, 1962 in Or Yehuda, where he studied at the “Shivat Zion” elementary school and completed his studies at the Perkhoff High School, both in Or Yehuda. Uri was drafted into the IDF in mid-October 1981 and was appointed as an administrative officer in the Israel Defense Forces and was appointed to serve in the IDF. Afterward, he was granted the rank of corporal. On the 16th of Iyar 5743 (29.4.1983) Uri fell during his service and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Holon. Left parents and two sisters. In his letter of condolence to the family, his commander wrote: “We met Uri as a devoted soldier, happy, full of life and kindness … He was very fond of all his comrades in the unit and his commanders.”
