Menachem, Daniel


Son of Amram and Allegra. Born in Jerusalem on July 3, 1957, he studied at the Gershon Agron Elementary School in Kiryat Hayovel in the city, and at that time was a member of the Scouts movement in the Jubilee tribe, and later attended high school Who was a high school student, volunteered to nurse the wounded and the sick. At Sha’arei Tzedek Hospital Prior to joining the IDF, he joined a settlement group that was intended to become part of the agriculture. His service to serve in the navy. Daniel was in these tests, but things turned out so that he decided to move to the Armored Corps. Daniel did basic training and underwent various professional courses in the Armored Corps. Thanks to his skills and devotion, he was accepted to a course for tank commanders. In the middle of the course he was found to have a malignant disease, which began to gnaw at his body, and his path of military progress suddenly stopped. Daniel managed to serve only a little more than one year. Another year passed, and he fell during his service – on the 27th of Tevet 5738 (4.1.1978). Was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by his parents and two brothers. In his literary legacy he left a notebook with 16 songs of his own, most of which he wrote in the stunning effect of the Yom Kippur War and on it.
