Melamed, Moshe (Muki)


The eldest son of Pnina and Shmuel, was born on June 1, 1962 in Kibbutz Kinneret. When Muki was one year old, he moved with his parents to Kibbutz Sde Boker. Muki studied at the kibbutz elementary school and at the Ma’aleh Habesor high school. He was loved by his friends, and excelled in studies and sports. Muki’s recruitment was postponed several times due to his affiliation with the “Finger of God” and his refusal to serve in the IDF, and after he underwent repeated medical examinations, he was determined to serve in the IDF. On the day after his enlistment day, on the day of his enlistment on February 4, 1983, Muki ended his life. He was laid to rest in the civil cemetery in his kibbutz. Muki left behind his parents, two brothers and two sisters
