Mekitan, Shmuel


Son of Sa’id and Sa’ada (Mazal). He was born on the 10th of Elul 5710 (10.9.1950) in Rosh HaAyin and studied at the “Yesodei HaTorah” elementary school in Rosh HaAyin and in Yeshivah in Hadera. He had a tendency to art and to reading. He loved the work very well and did not disdain any work that made a decent living. After two years of studying in “Yeshiva” in Hadera, he worked with his brother in the carpentry workshop and studied the profession. He was loved by his friends and as they walked they went too, because his girlfriend was pleasant to them. Shmuel was drafted into the IDF in the middle of February 1969 and was assigned to the Supply Corps, where he learned the driving profession, and he was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Kiryat On August 24, 1970, A Torah scroll in his memory was donated to the Tiferet Shmuel Synagogue in Rosh HaAyin, named after Shmuel.
