Meisel, Yair
Son of Gedalyahu and Naomi. Born on 17.5.1952 in Moshav Tel-Adashim, he studied at the elementary school in Kibbutz Ginegar and continued his high school studies at the Afula study farm. He was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement and during the period he was a student at the Gadna, he was a quiet, very kind, intelligent and clever boy who always enjoyed grades between “very good” and “excellent” and his teachers and friends loved him. He joined the IDF in early October 1970 and volunteered to serve in the Israel Air Force. He successfully completed a course of ciphers and properly performed heavy tasks. According to his commanders, Yair was an excellent professional, disciplined and responsible, albeit quiet and withdrawn. On the 28th of Adar I 5723 (28.2.1973), Sergeant Yair fell during his service and was brought to rest at the cemetery in Tel Adashim.
