Meinfeld, Gadi
Gadi, son of Orna and Yosef Meinfeld, was born in Be’er Sheva in 1971. In November 1989, Gadi was drafted to the IDF. He was stationed in the Infantry Brigade, Givati Brigade, and was chosen to serve in the engineering company of the brigade. He went on basic training and was sent to a combat paramedics course. Gadi completed his training as a combat soldier in the course of infantry and infantry courses, and completed all the courses with very high grades, and returned to the engineering company and left with the unit for operational activities on the Lebanese border, On November 26, 1990, Gadi fell in battle in the security zone in Lebanon near Mount Dov, during an assault by a combat team against a terrorist squad. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Be’er Sheva. Survived by his parents and two brothers. After his death, Gadi was promoted to the rank of sergeant.
