Medina, Shalom


Shalom, son of Roma and Yechiya Medina, was born in 1931 in Yemen. He was educated in the spirit of tradition and love of Zion, and when he was eleven, he immigrated to Israel with his family, who settled in Petah Tikva. Shalom was an active member of Maccabi Youth and later on in Hanoar Haoved, and he showed an interest in the Yishuv and the people. Shalom fell on thethe 1th of Iyar, 20th of May 1948 in the battle for Ramle; he was 17. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery In Nahalat Yitzhak.
