Meadani, Shimon

Son of Salem and Naomi. He was born on the 22nd of Iyar, May 21, 1949 in Yemen. He was a toddler when he came to Israel with his parents. He attended the Agudat Israel school in Rosh Ha’ayin. Afterward, he studied in yeshiva in Chadera for one year and studied for one year in Nachalim. He then spent six months studying bookkeeping in Tel Aviv. In November 1966, he was drafted into the IDF, and served in the unit as a driver. He was disciplined and performed all the tasks assigned to him. On the 19th of Adar, March 29,1968, while traveling, on patrol, in the Jordan Valley, he was seriously wounded and died of his wounds. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery oif Kiryat Shaul.
