Mazarib, Falah
Son of Mohammed and Arfa. He was born in 1931 in El Mazarib, in the Land of Israel. He was drafted into the IDF on April 24, 1949 and served until October 1, 1949. From June 28, 1963, he joined a regular army service, and served for six consecutive years in the IDF. He attained the rank of First Sergeant. He was killed in the course of his duties, on December 31, 1968. He was the second victim of his tribe, the tribe of Arab al-Mazarib, located near Nahalal. He left a wife and seven children. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in his tribe. The funeral was attended by representatives of the government, the Ministry of Minorities, senior IDF officers, public institutions, the district police chief, his team of officers, and hundreds of Bedouins from his tribe. The commander of his unit wrote in a letter of condolences to his family, “He did his best, volunteered for every mission and ran to it first. He was full of life, wisdom, a warrior, an excellent explorer … he gave us the joy of life. “
