Mazangia, Ainu (Asher)


Son of Ainana and Chakula. He was born on August 28, 1982, in the village of Tzahay Agaracharkus, in the Gondar region of Ethiopia, the eldest brother of Abraham, Buccato, Isaac, Rachel, Joseph and Jacob. He graduated from the elementary school in East Talpiot in Jerusalem in 1991. He was loved by his parents and all those around him for his good qualities, his willingness to help people around him and his love for his family and relatives. Ainu liked to play football and listen to music with friends. He was a smart, sociable, pleasant boy who respected the people around him, and had a smile on his lips. Ainu celebrated and danced with his friends and family during his enlistment in August 2002. In August 2002, Aineo joined the IDF in the Nahal Brigade’s “Shaham” battalion. On January 3, 2003, Aineo was released from his base with the approval of the commander for a two-day vacation. He disappeared and finally, on 20 June 2003, his body was found in Kiryat Ye’arim, near Jerusalem. He was buried at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl and was twenty-one years old. Survived by his parents, five brothers and a sister.
