Mazalters, Yoash (“Yaish”)


Son of Yehuda and Simi. Was born on August 4, 1945 in Casablanca, Morocco, and as a baby the family immigrated to Israel. After graduating from the “Yavne” elementary school in Netanya, he attended the Bar-Ilan high school there; Afterward, he moved to the ORT vocational high school in Netanya and graduated with honors. He was diligent from his childhood and did well by playing the guitar. Was the living spirit in his company, though by nature he was serious and he liked to read many books, especially reflections. His parents were especially devoted and encouraged them in their distress. He was always content with the least. He was drafted into the IDF in August 1964. On 2.6.1965 he fell in the line of duty and was put to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
