Matko (Barani), Uri

Ben of Safand and Katma. Uri was born in Ethiopia on 28 May 1963. He grew up in Ethiopia, immigrated to Israel in 1984 and settled in Netanya, where he served in the Israel Defense Forces. Shortly after his discharge from the army, Uri joined the Israel Prison Service, and at the end of the prison guard course he wrote: “… he was a favorite and a favorite of the group, he served in classes here for the weak among the students.” Uri served in the Ashmoret prison in various security positions. Uri was married to Malka and was the father of Bracha, Daniel, Lior and Avi On Tuesday, November 12, 1991, Sergeant Uri was killed in a car accident. A private car collided with him as he cycled, as usual, on his way to prison guard. Uri was twenty-eight years old when he fell. He left a wife and four children.
