Matah, Abraham
Son of Badria and Moshe, was born in 1932 in Damascus, the capital of Syria. In 1944 he immigrated to Eretz Israel and joined the youth training program at Givat Hashlosha, where he moved to Beit Oren-Yagur. Abraham devoted himself with great love to his studies. When he was fifteen years old he joined the Palmach, and after his young age, he was accepted to service: “The people demand me and I will go, just as many like me will go.” Avraham fell on September 30, 1948) in Hulda. During a tour of the place he went on a mine and his body crashed. Was the first victim of the Beit Oren-Yagur training. He was buried in a rat. On the 19th of Cheshvan 5710 (19.10.1950) he was put to rest at the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
