Marshali, Isaac


Son of Leah and Abraham was born on 25 June 1924 in Aleppo, Syria. After his brother immigrated to Israel, his interest in studies faded and he followed his brother. When he was 14, he left school on his own and began working in a knitting factory to collect some of the expenses of the road. At the beginning of 1943, he made his way to Israel with his parents via the Lebanese border. The family settled in Haifa. Yitzhak was accepted to the printing press as an apprentice and reached a high professional level. Even after the outbreak of the War of Independence, he continued this dangerous service and crossed the enemy lines disguised as an Arab and brought important military information. But he was not satisfied with this service, which seemed quiet and easy and demanded that he be transferred to combat operations. After his numerous demands, his commanders finally agreed to give up his service and he joined our elite, which joined the Palmach, where he joined the Palmach the Harel Brigade. His training for the second part of the Scouts, a battalion in the Negev Brigade that fought in the besieged Negev, and completed a machine-gun course in an anti-tank Fiat tank, which was part of Operation Yoav in the battle for Iraq.
