He began his high school studies at the IAF Technical School in Haifa, and after a year moved to the Mevo’ot Yam School in Mikhmoret, where he graduated from 12th grade, and in November 1997 he enlisted in the IDF. in the air Force. After serving as a combat soldier, he served as a battalion commander and served as a battery commander and was appointed to the position of tour officer, and in November 2000 he began his service in the army, and about six months later he was promoted to lieutenant. To help and to contribute, as a friend, everyone wanted to be close to him, and as a commander, they trusted him and wanted to be with him in the unit. ” Husam was a handsome young man, very beloved to all his family. “An officer and a gentleman,” all his acquaintances described him. He always created a sense of security around him, a knowledge that “there is someone to trust” when he is around. He loved traveling in Israel and spending time with his friends, including many whom he knew in the army, and often hosted friends in his village. On September 12, 2001, Husam died in a hospital in Tel Aviv, four days after he drowned at the beach and was left in serious condition. He was twenty-two when he died. He was laid to rest in the military section of the Hurfeish cemetery. Survived by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.
