Maor (Morocco), Yitzhak


Yitzhak (Itzik), son of Rivka and Nathan, was born on 27 March 1950 in Haifa, where he studied at the Remez Elementary School in Haifa and at the school in Gvat, where he continued his studies at the ” And in the “Naharayim” school in Haifa. During the Yom Kippur War, Yitzhak took part in the battle against the Egyptians, who plundered the Suez Canal en masse: On the 9th of Tishrei 5734 (October 9, 1973), Yitzhak was killed in a battle near the Firdan Bridge, which was next to the Suez Canal. He was later buried in the Haifa cemetery, and was survived by a mother and two brothers.
