Mansur, Shlomo (Shalem)


Son of Sarah and Moshe, was born in 1902 in Egypt. He graduated from the School of Commerce and Chemistry and specialized as a chemist for drinks. In 1946 he immigrated to Israel with his wife and four children and settled in Jerusalem. During the War of Independence he served in the “People’s Guard” and during the work in the fortifications he fell, on the 28th of Cheshvan 5709 (30.11.1948). He was buried in Sheik-Bader Bet. On the 17th of Sivan 5761 (21.6.1951) he was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
