Mansur, Alam a-Din

Mansur, son of Afifi and Salim Hassan Alam a-Din, from the Druze village of Isfiya (near Haifa), was born in 1928. During Operation Hiram, on the night of 28-29 October, our forces attacked Tarshiha and the Druze unit was assigned to conquer the village of Yanuach. The attack on Tarshiha did not succeed, and the forces were instructed to withdraw. The Druze took control of Yanuach, but due to mishaps in connection with the withdrawal, the forces of Kawakji recovered,.The village was attacked on October 29, 1948, and the next day he was buried on the battlefield of Benoah, and on November 30, 1954, he was taken to eternal rest in the Druze military cemetery in the village of Isfiya on Mount Carmel.
