Manouvela, Elijah


Son of Shlomo and Aliza. Born in Purim in Aleppo, Syria, at the age of three, he began studying at the Talmud Torah and continued his studies until he immigrated to Israel with his parents, and most of the way passed through Eretz Israel in 1942. As early as his youth, He worked in the factory and in Zifzif on the seashore in 1944. In 1944 he joined the Irgun and fulfilled all the tasks imposed upon him with the utmost vigor, with the aim of avenging all the victims of the people And for the conquest of the entire land. With the liquidation of the underground, he took his place in the army and on 9/11/1949 he was wounded while carrying out his duties and died of his wounds and was put to rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
