Mann, Peretz


Son of Hanna and Avraham, was born in 1929 in Jerusalem. He studied “sitting” and even helped his father sell wood in his shop. At the outbreak of the War of Independence, he volunteered to preserve the school’s neighborhoods in Jerusalem and on January 16, 1948, he fell to the military cemetery on the Mount of Olives, and was engraved on a monument erected in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl In memory of those who perished in the Jewish Quarter and the memory of fighters who fell in the battle for Jerusalem and were brought for burial on the Mount of Olives.
